SERVICE USER SURVEYS

All the Surveys below are designed by service users, for service users unless otherwise stated. This page has been set up by The Side by Side Network which is the co-production and involvement network for Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust.

Please click on the underlined links below to access the surveys. These will help to improve local services and to make sure your voice is heard by those who hold the power and the purse strings. More surveys coming soon!

If you want to copy and paste the survey location to tweet or email, or for easier reading on printed material we will provide a shorter, tinyurl address to access the survey by for each one. Please bring these to the attention of other people with Mental Health so that our voice is made stronger. Thanks!

Surveys

Bullying and harassment are really difficult issues to discuss. We now have finished designing our survey on the topic. If you have experiences any bullying or harassment recently, or know of it happening to other people please do taek the time to fill this in. it is anonymous. The first thing is that we need to talk about it, and to understand the extent of it. Please pass this on to anyone else who might be affected, or there are options to fill in some details on behalf of someone else. The survey can be accessed at this link.  https://forms.gle/ThfdVLGANdmJyS2b9
If you are not great with spelling or English don’t worry. We can work it out. You can fill it in in other languages if you need to.

“Why doesn’t it ask about….”  There are many reasons someone might be bullied and sometimes it is not clear at all why! We do not want to ask leading questions so the survey is quite open. Please put anything that yo uthink is relevant.

What will we do with the results? It depends very much on what we get back from the responses. A report of some sort (not naming names or anything) is likely, as is some discussions with C&I staff. Hopefully we will have something to help reduce the incidence of these very distressing experiencs. Thanks very much for your help.

Tell us about your Mental Health Support in Primary Care
(For Camden and Islington Residents)  Findings will be shared anonymously with the Community Division at C&I.  https://tinyurl.com/MHcareatGP

If you have used mental health services or other kinds of support in Camden in the last year we would like to hear from you – please fill out our online survey here:
www.advocacyproject.org.uk/camden-mental-health-experience

We want to improve people’s experiences of using mental health services in Camden, particularly when people move between services, stop or start services. For this reason, we want to hear your stories about how this has worked or not, and your thoughts on what could make a difference.

Your feedback will help us to create anonymised case studies. These will help people planning services to think about how they can make sure services are working together well, that resources are used effectively and people do not miss out or fall through the gaps. We are not able to take up individual cases or deal with complaints, but we can make sure that the points you made are heard by those who make decisions about services in the future.

C&I Service User Involvement Strategyi s being revised. Please let us know your views. you can see the current on on the Trust website.

Body Worn Cameras on psychiatric wards. There is a pilot underway (Spring 2020) to introduce body cameras onto 2 wards with a view to rolling it out. How do you feel about staff wearing cameras? The footage is kept for 28 days, and staff have the control over when the camera is off or on. It is being run as a QI project. Objections to the pilot were raised at the Service User Alliance and the Womens’s STrategy Group have concerns about the impact upon vulnerable patients. What do you think? Email your thoughts to hello@sidebysidenetwork.org. We will feed these back to the QI team.
