ABOUT CBUG

Camden Borough User Group (CBUG) supports mental health “service user involvement” in the London Borough of Camden. It is funded by Camden and support is provided by a third party, The Advocacy Project. If you have any questions about The Advocacy Project please contact Katja@advocacyproject.org.uk.

CBUG members have used Camden’s mental health services. We use this experience to ensure mental health services better meet client need.

CBUG’s aim is to increase the involvement of service users in the development, monitoring and evaluation of mental health services in the London Borough of Camden. We work to co-ordinate and organise the voice of service users in Camden.

CBUG are involved in many activities across the borough, including:
⦁    Monthly meetings with fellow Camden service users
⦁    Focus groups on issues like physical health, antisocial behaviour, and advocacy
⦁    Supporting strategic work for mental health services in the borough

Meetings

Meetings take place at 10.30am on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at:
St. Pancras Hospital West Wing [Currently meeting online due to Covid 19]
4 St. Pancras Way
NW1 0PE
Ask at reception for directions to the room.

CBUG has some open meetings that anyone can attend. These used to be every third meeting, where we would have a guest speaker and catch up with news from other organisations and individuals who attended as guests. Why not come along and see what we do?

We are also looking for Camden service users to join the Patient’s Council, which inspects wards and represents the interests of  C&I inpatients. You can  come along to a CBUG meeting in the first instance if this interests you, or contact Katja@advocacyproject.org.uk for a chat.

Please ask if you want some CBUG leaflets for distribution.

The CBUG logo was designed by our member Judy Sands.
